NETARHAT
Netarhat is situated 75 kms from Latehar. At a height of 1128 metres, the hill station is the among the highest points of the Chhotanagpur plateau. The natural beauty of the place is simply splendid. Netarhat is especially known for its stunning views of sunrise and sunset and is popularly known as the Queen of Chhotanagpur. Netarhat comes under the tag of lesser known tourist places. Being lesser known works wonders for its visitors, the most beautiful part about Netarhat is its rawness, there is a beauty in its austerity, in just standing at a height and looking at the far spread lush jungles. Located at a distance of 10 km from Netarhat, Magnolia Sunset Point is one of the most prominent attractions of Netarhat. Other popular attractions of the destination include the Pine forest view point, sunrise view point, Upper Ghagri Falls and the Lower Ghagri Falls. The Upper Ghagri Falls are located at a distance of around 4 km from Netarhat, while the Lower Ghagri Falls are at a distance of around 10 km from the destination.

Magnolia Sunset Point
नेतरहाट से 10 कि मी की दूरी पर दो दिलों के मिलन का संगम स्थल है जिसे मैगनोलिया प्वाइंट या सनसेट प्वाइंट के नाम से जाना जाता हैं |
कहते है कि एक अंग्रेज अधिकारी को नेतरहाट बहुत पसंद था, उसकी एक कुँवरी बेटी थी, जिसका नाम मैगनोलिया था. गांव में ही एक चरवाहा था, जो सनसेट प्वाइंट के पास प्रतिदिन दिन अपने मवेशियों को चराने के लिए जाता था | वह बांसुरी बहुत अच्छा बजाता था | उसकीबांसुरी की मधुर आवाज ने मैगनोलिया के दिल को छू लिया और वह बांसुरी बजाने वाले चरवाहे से प्रेम करने लगी | वह उससे मिलने प्रतिदिन सनसेट स्थल के पास चली जाती थी, जहां पर चरवाहा उसे बांसुरी बजा कर सुनाता था |
अंग्रेज अधिकारी को जब इस बात का पता चला,तो उसने चरवाहा को मरवा दिया | इसकी सूचना जब मैगनोलिया को मिली,तो चरवाहे के विरह में उसने अपने घोड़े सहित घाटी की असीम गहरईयों में छलांग लगाकर अपनी जन दे दिया |
लातेहार जिला प्रशासन द्वारा. इस स्थल पर मैगनोलिया व चरवाहे के प्रतिमा लगायी गयी है. जो इस प्रेम कथा की याद दिलाता है |
Chalet House Netarhat
“Chalet” is a French word which means a wooden dwelling .This is a historical building of Netarhat is made up of logs of wood . it was established during the period of Sir Edward Gate, L.G of Bihar and Orissa in early 20th Century. initially, it was used as summer exodus by British Officer for discussion with local influential village chiefs. Now it is being used as the camp office of D.C Latehar.
Upper Ghaghri falls
It is a small waterfall, situated 5 km from Netarhat. It is in the Latehar district of Jharkhand. .There is a rock that divides the cascade into two streams. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery which makes it a perfect location to have a family picnic on the weekend offering the family a different screen from the usual. The falls are best during the monsoons when the river is flooded.
Lower Ghaghri Falls
Lower Ghaghri Falls is located10 Km from Netarhat in Latehar district in the state of Jharkhand. It is the 33rd highest waterfall in India. The forest around the Lower Ghaghri Falls is so dense that even sun rays find it difficult to pierce through. The water falls from the height of 320 feet from the cascade. The sound of falling water makes the surrounding musical.
Koel View Point
नेतरहाट बस स्टैंड से लगभग दो किलोमीटर दूर चीड़ के वनों के बीच स्थित यह स्थान नेतरहाट के प्रमुख दर्शनीय स्थलों में से एक है| कोयल नदी इस स्थल से 10 किलोमीटर की दुरी पर घाटी के नीचे प्रवाहित होती है | जब पर्वत शिखरों के पीछे से उगते हुए सूर्य का प्रतिबिम्ब जल धरा पर पड़ता है तो अविस्मरणीय दृश्य का निर्माण होता है | चांदनी रात में नदी की रजत जलधारा आकर्षण का केंद्र होती है |
Netarhat Residential School
इस विद्यालय की स्थापना नवम्बर 1954 में हुई थी। राज्य सरकार द्वारा स्थापित और गुरुकुल की तर्ज पर बने इस स्कूल में अभी भी प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा के आधार पर प्रवेश मिलता है। यहाँ 10 -12 आयुवर्ग के बच्चों को प्रवेश दिया जाता है, और लड़कों को उच्चतर माध्यमिक परीक्षा के लिए तैयार किया जाता है। पुरानी परंपरा को ध्यान में रखते हुए, आज तक शिक्षकों को श्रीमानजी और मातजी के रूप में संबोधित किया जाना जारी है। यहाँ छात्रों के लिए 21 छात्रावास ऐसे जो आश्रमों की तरह हैं। खेल स्कूल के पाठ्यक्रम का एक अभिन्न अंग है, जिसमें छह फुटबॉल मैदान, 14-15 वॉलीबॉल कोर्ट और लॉन टेनिस के लिए दो मैदान हैं। छात्रों की वर्तमान वार्षिक प्रवेश क्षमता 100 है। यहाँ के छात्रों ने अनेकानेक क्षेत्रों में इस विद्यालय की कीर्ति-पताका लहरायी है। कई शीर्ष के नौकरशाह और टेक्नोक्रेट इसी विद्यालय से पढ़ कर निकले हैं।
